Country Music Fans Celebrate Carrie Underwood's New Gospel Station

Carrie Underwood has long been a shining star in the country music world, captivating audiences globally. However, beyond her country roots, Underwood has also showcased her deep connection to gospel music, and therefore Christianity, throughout here career.

From her early albums like "Some Hearts" to the more recent "My Savior," Underwood's faith has been a consistent theme in her music.

In 2021, Underwood took her gospel journey to new heights with the release of her album "My Savior," which earned her a Grammy for Best Roots Gospel Album in 2022. Reflecting on her upbringing in small churches and the influence of hymns on her musical journey, Underwood has always held gospel music close to her heart, Country Living reports.

Now, Underwood is expanding her gospel repertoire even further with a partnership with SiriusXM. The country superstar has launched her own SiriusXM station, "Carrie's Country," which offers a curated selection of her music along with other country favorites around the clock on channel 60. 

A standout feature of the channel is its weekly segment, "Savior Sunday," dedicated to showcasing gospel music. The segment has garnered immense popularity among listeners, prompting Underwood to elevate "Savior Sunday" into a full-time channel.

The newly launched channel is now available for streaming 24/7 on the SiriusXM app, offering a diverse mix of uplifting faith-based country and gospel music personally selected by Underwood. Listeners can expect to hear not only Underwood's hits but also tracks from artists like Gabby Barrett, NEEDTOBREATHE, Randy Travis, Thomas Rhett, Reba McEntire, Zach Williams, and more.

In a press release, Underwood expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to share her love for gospel music with her fans, stating, "This music shaped who I am as a person and is the foundation of my career as a recording artist. I feel blessed to get to be able to create a destination to share these songs with generations of people who love them as I do, as well as others who might be experiencing them for the first time."
