Kim Kardashian's Tasteless Twist on Holiday Tradition

Kim Kardashian has once again managed to make headlines with her latest venture, but this time, it's for all the wrong reasons. She dropped a cover of "Santa Baby," produced by her brother-in-law Travis Barker, and the accompanying music video is nothing short of astonishingly inappropriate.

The video itself is a bizarre journey through a house that looks like the aftermath of a wild, non-holiday party. It's got a gritty, almost horror-like aesthetic that, if not for the Christmas theme, might have been intriguing in its audacity. However, it's meant to be a holiday classic, and here, Kardashian turns it into something that feels more like a Halloween nightmare.

The pièce de résistance, or rather, the pièce de résistance of bad taste, comes at the video's end. There, Kim is seen seductively crawling towards what you'd think would be the comforting figure of Santa, only for the wholesome image to be shattered. Instead, it's Macaulay Culkin, sans the jolly beard, holding a camcorder, turning Santa into a voyeuristic figure in this twisted holiday setting.

This isn't the Christmas spirit we know and love, it's a cheap, vulgar exploitation of a sacred time. If this video wasn't tied to Christmas, you might appreciate the dark, edgy style for its artistic merit. But as it stands, it's a crass reminder of how far some will go for attention, even if it means desecrating the joy of the season. Simply disgraceful.
