TELL CMT "We Take Care Of Our Own," And Stand With Jason Aldean

On July 18th, under pressure from the entertainment industry and the woke mob, Country Music Television (CMT) removed "Try That in a Small Town" by Jason Aldean. The song, which makes no reference to race or class was quickly decried by the professionally offended as “pro-lynching.” This is just the latest example of woke corporations telling their customers that they’re idiots. Stand with Jason Aldean by telling CMT to reinstate "Try That in a Small Town," or become the Bud Light of the music industry.

NO ALDEAN, NO AUDIENCE

Country Music Television (CMT) should’ve taken notice of the billions of dollars in revenue lost when Bud Light, Disney, and Target decided to rub their customers’ noses in the woke dirt. Apparently, some lessons can only be learned the hard way. Corporate America is in need if a serious reality check. Jason Aldean's song "Try That in a Small Town" has been slandered as a “pro-lynching” song by the same people who cheered on “The Summer of Love.” CMT listened to the mob and not their audience, caved and pulled the song.

In response Aldean stated,

“In the past 24 hours I have been accused of releasing a pro-lynching song (a song that has been out since May) and was subject to the comparison that I (direct quote) was not too pleased with the nationwide BLM protests. These references are not only meritless, but dangerous. There is not a single lyric in the song that references race or points to it- and there isn’t a single video clip that isn’t real news footage -and while I can try and respect others to have their own interpretation of a song with music- this one goes too far.”

Every great nation exists to create a stable environment with equality before the law for its people. But during the 2020 “Summer of Love,” equal enforcement of the law was brazenly suspended for political gains and it was obvious to anyone paying attention. What was lost in the "Summer of Love" was that sense of community that most Americans once knew. Aldean recognizes it and claimed the song, "refers to the feeling of a community that I had growing up, where we took care of our neighbors, regardless of differences of background or belief."

There’s nothing wrong with that statement or the song and, in fact, the sentiment of both is what every American should desire for future generations. CMT is telling their audience that this song should not resonate with them and, if it does, they don’t want their business. Fine! No more business for CMT. It's time to pull the plug.

Tell CMT that you stand with Jason Aldean. Sign the petition and tell CMT to reinstate "Try That in a Small Town" or become the new Bud Light.
