Five Times August Slams Legendary Guitarist Over Pandemic-Era Statement

Remember when Brian May, the once revered guitar wizard of Queen, showed his true colors as a shill for Big Pharma and called those skeptical of the Covid vaccines "fruitcakes."? It was a move that was less "We Will Rock You" and more "We Will Jab You."

Singer and songwriter Brad Skistimas of Five Times August remembers, and reminded the once-legendary rock star of his pandemic paux pas.

"Not aging well," Skistimas wrote to his X account early Tuesday while sharing an image of an article reporting on May's comments during the pandemic.

Skistimas told The American Beat, "I think it's important to keep showcasing how badly legacy rock and roll and the mainstream music industry sold us out throughout covid, especially moving into the new administration where I think the conversation of vaccine safety will be at the forefront of our nation's health discussion."

He continued: "All these guys from Brian May, Elton John, Rod Stewart, Neil Young, Gene Simmons right on up to Jason Isbell, Adele, Lady Gaga -- the entire industry said "screw informed consent and choice, shut up and obey your government" and not one has come back around to acknowledge the damage done by using their platform in that way."

"Until that day comes we can never forget," Skistimas concluded.

May is the same man who once wrote songs about breaking free, about not letting others tie you down. Yet here he was, tying himself to the mast of the vaccine ship, sailing straight into the eye of the storm. People don't forget, Brian. They remember when you stood for something, when you were the voice of rebellion, not the echo of corporate compliance.

Let's not forget the elephant in the room: May had a stroke this past summer which came “all of a sudden, out of the blue,” andleft him unable to control one of his arms. Now, he has stabilized and is able to play some piano and guitar, but the irony isn't lost on us.

In the height of the pandemic, when the world was awash with fear and confusion, May chose to belittle those with genuine concerns about the vaccines.

Now, as we see more and more reports of vaccine injuries, as the narrative shifts, where is Brian May? Still singing the praises of science, probably, while those who questioned the rush to vaccinate are vindicated.

Brian, you've let down your fans, the very people who lifted you to god-like status. They remember your stance, your dismissal of their fears, your alignment with the powers that be. The rock star we once worshipped has become another pawn in the game, and trust me, people don't forget. They remember, and they're not happy about it.
