Carrie Underwood Tops Itunes Chart After Trump's Inauguration

After performing at President Donald Trump's inauguration this Monday, country star Carrie Underwood has scored several chart topping spots on iTunes' top country albums.

Earlier this month, it was announced that Underwood would perform "America the Beautiful" during Trump's inauguration. However, the country star faced technical complications and instead broke out into an a cappella rendition of the song.

In the days following her performance, Underwood soared to the top of iTunes' top country albums, landing eight total spots.

At one point, her 2021 album, My Savior, reached the No. 1 spot on iTunes' chart, followed by Greatest Hits: Decade #1 at the No. 2 spot. Underwood's Blown Away charted at No. 9, followed by five others in the top 100 on the list.

After her performance, Underwood shook hands with Joe Biden, though viewers noticed that Underwood appeared to snub Kamala Harris as the country star made a b-line to shake hands with President Trump.

“I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the Inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event,” the American Idol winner said in a statement to PEOPLE. “I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and looking to the future.”

I'll admit, I often forget how fantastic of an artist she is. Her performance at Trump's inauguration reminded me of how powerful her voice is.
