Kudrow revealed the note during her Tuesday appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show. During the broadcast, host Barrymore asked Kudrow if she had ever stolen anything from the Friends set, to which the Friends alumni, Perry had gifted her the "Cookie Time" cookie jar prop during the filming of the show's final episode in 2004.
"Matthew gave that to me at the end of our last episode,” Kudrow said, adding she had recently found the note he left her. "I hadn’t opened it up or looked inside of it, but yeah, he did. He had a note in there and I forgot about it.”
The Friends alumni did not reveal Perry's message, though recounted the story behind the prop during a 2020 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
"My line was, ‘Ohhh, I’m late. I better get going,’ and it was too late when I realized I don’t have a watch," she told Kimmel at the time. "As the words were coming out I went, ‘Oh good there’s a clock,’ and I gestured to that and said, ‘Oh look at the time. I better get going.’”
Kudrow said Perry later asked if she pointed at the cookie jar and said, "Look at the time"?Perry tragically passed away on Oct. 28, 2023 from acute effects of ketamine.
"Thank you for making me laugh so hard at something you said, that my muscles ached, and tears poured down my face EVERY DAY," Kurdrow wrote in a November 2023 Instagram post. "Thank you for your open heart in a six way relationship that required compromise. And a lot of 'talking.'"
