Hailey Bieber Meltdown: Calls Out Billboard for Justin's Shocking Ranking

I don't know what I'm more sick of seeing between Billboard's choices in the greatest pop artists of all time or the reactions to their selections.

Hailey Bieber, the wife of Biebs himself, has now taken issue with his number 8 ranking on Billboard's top 100 pop artists of the 21st century. According to OK! News, Hailey Bieber said her husband's ranking was a "f*cking joke" -- as if being in the top 10 isn't good enough.

Well, Hailey, we all agree it's a f*cking joke. Music is subjective. Everyone's tastes are different.

I was a junior in high school when Bieber blew up. I'll admit it, I was not a Belieber. Now, the older I've gotten, I'll admit the dude has some catchy tunes. Still not my cup of tea, but the big vein in my head doesn't feel like it's gonna pop when I hear him come on. I can either tune it out or enjoy it for what it is.

Anyway, the point I'm making is that celebrity culture has turned into a circus of ego and vanity where any perceived slight becomes headline news. It's not about the art or the music, it's become about being number one, about status, about the petty competition that has nothing to do with talent or contribution to the art form.

It's the same story with insufferable Taylor Swift fans, or "Swifties" as they call themselves. They were up in arms when she was ranked second. Second! Not second-to-last, but number 2 out of 100. You'd think their lives had been turned upside down. People need to get a grip. Celebrities are entertainers, and their worth isn't measured by where they land on a list.

Music should be celebrated for the joy and meaning it brings, not for where it ranks on some arbitrary chart.
