Why are they losing it over American Idol you ask? Well, because it features none other than Carrie Underwood.
The reason they're going crazy over her is because she had the audacity to perform "America the Beautiful" at President Donald Trump's inauguration last week.
“I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the Inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event. I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and looking to the future," Underwood said.
For those of you who don't remember, or who weren't even born yet, Carrie Underwood originally rose to fame after becoming the season 4 winner of American Idol, so the fact that she's taking over as a judge on the show is very full circle.Leftists have flocked to the comment section of American Idol's trailer dragging Underwood after her performance at the inauguration.
“PASS. Carrie Underwood aka Carrier Underwhelmed," wrote one user.
“BOOOOOOOO!” another user commented.
“Can we just boycott ‘American Idol’ and ban Carrie Underwood for life?” another user said.
Why are these people so upset with Carrie Underwood? Did anyone have a problem when Hillary Duff performed at George W. Bush's second inauguration? I don't think so.
The new season premieres in March. It'll be fun to see how she fares as a new judge.
