Country music star Maren Morris (although some will debate how country she really is) has once again stirred up controversy, poking fun at former Fox News host Tucker Carlson on her Instagram story. The beef between the two dates back to last year when Carlson referred to Morris as a "lunatic country music person." Morris responded by posting an image of herself with the same chyron as her "new profile pic." She then launched a T-shirt line with Carlson-inspired monikers to support trans people in crisis.
Morris's recent Instagram story featured an old image of herself with the caption "Happy Monday, MotherTucker." She also shared a rainbow graphic that read "The Only Tuckers Allowed Are the Drag Queens." Many are shocked with Tucker's recent firing, as it came with no warning and there is speculation that it is related to the Dominion lawsuit.
Some on Twitter pointed out that while Maren is gloating over the news, Tucker is really the winner here as he has garnered a massive audience and can now do what he wants without the restrictions of a contract from a mainstream media company.
Who do you think is right in this situation? Is Morris justified in her actions towards Tucker or should she stay in her own lane, so to speak?
