Nashville Icon Chris Wallin Says Beyoncé's Grammy Win is a SLAP IN THE FACE to Country Fans

It's been a couple days since that sham of an awards show at the Grammys where their darling Destiny's Child, Beyoncé won Country Album of the Year.

Songwriter, producer, and Nashville legend Chris Wallin said he isn't having any of it, and posted a long rant online calling out Beyoncé's ridiculous win.

"Honestly, it's a slap in the face to real country fans," Wallin said. "Make no mistake, country fans had nothing to do with her winning album of the year."

"She's on her 34th Grammy," he continued, noting that The Beatles and The Rolling Stones had only scored a handful of Grammys in their career.

The Baste Records Maestro went on to praise genre chameleon Post Malone for showing respect to country music with his latest country release F-1 Trillion.

"He's blown me away about great he can sing country music," he said. "There are people out there doing it correctly, but the reason Beyoncé is where she is in country music is because she's Beyoncé."

Wallin pointed out that fans of pop and r&b had supported Cowboy Carter, not country fans.

"She may have got a country Grammy, but she doesn't have country respect," Wallin said.

And he's right. Everything about Beyoncé's album and her Grammy award is disrespectful not only to the genre, but to the fans who support country music.

Make country great again.
