The insufferable army of Taylor Swift fans, or "Swifties" as they call themselves, have once again lost their minds over their namesake’s appearance on Billboard’s greatest pop stars of the 21st century list.
On Wednesday, Billboard revealed Swift had secured the number 2 spot on their list. That’s pretty impressive, but it wasn’t enough for Swifties as many have begun losing their minds that their patron saint Taylor was not given the top spot. Remember when she was supposed to be a country artist?
Even worse, Billboard shared a video celebrating Swift which fans noticed contained a scene from Kanye West's "Famous" video which depicts a nude wax figure of Swift.
"We are deeply sorry to Taylor Swift and all of our readers and viewers that in a video celebrating Swift’s achievements, we included a clip that falsely depicted her," Billboard wrote in an early Thursday X post. "We have removed the clip from our video and sincerely regret the harm we caused with this error."
Swifties have even gone on to call the depiction from his 2016 video "revenge porn." Albeit a petty move from West given his controversial 2009 Grammy moment with the part-time country artist, Swifties seem to forget the video also featured Kim Kardashian, Rihanna, and Chris Brown among other nude celebrities.
How bad would Swifities be freaking out if she secured the number one spot?
