Glenn Close Slams JD Vance's Political Evolution

Glenn Close slammed Vice President-elect JD Vance's political evolution during a Wednesday appearance on ABC's The View.

The actress, who played Vance's grandmother in Netflix's 2020 biopic Hillbilly Elegy, based on Vance's memoir of the same name, praised her experience with Vance on set while filming the movie.

"I don't know what happened," Close told the panel, adding that she had a good experience with Vance while filming Hillbilly Elegy. "Power is probably the biggest aphrodisiac for a human being."

"A lot of people out there are like that. The Invasion of the Body Snatchers I think is the name of that movie," host Joy Behar said.

During the 2024 presidential election cycle, Vance came under fire by critics after slamming "childless cat ladies" in the Democratic Party.

"Eve would have left a bleeding mouse head in the bed of anyone who criticized any kind of lady with a CAT!" Close wrote in an Instagram post at the time.

Fellow co-host of The View, Sunny Hostin recently came under fire after it was revealed that her husband had been accused of insurance fraud.
