Kid Rock has taken to social media to express his displeasure with Bud Light's new decision to partner with trans activist Dylan Mulvaney in order to sell more beer to new demographics. In the video, he says that "Grandpa is feeling a little frisky today" and goes on to shoot cases of bud light beer after which he declares: "F*** Bud Light and F*** Anheuser-Busch".
Kid Rock has always been almost obtusely and almost rudely straight forward about his politics. One of his semi-recent tracks "We The People" which exposes the corruption around Covid-era culture and government overreach, has the poetically simple line: "Man... F*** Fauci". He is simultaneously repugnant and hilarious in his truth telling. Kid Rock thrives at a cultural intersection between patriotic American populism and a kind of Homer Simpson-esque caricature, full of authentic every-man-isms and working class grit. It's a remarkably charming mixture that is simultaneously irreverent and poignant.
If you're in the Nashville area April 18th, you can check Kid Rock at his Comedy Jam at the Ryman auditorium.
