Pete Parada Expresses Hope For Trump's Return

Pete Parada, drummer for The Defiant, expressed a cautious hope for President Donald Trump's return to the White House.

The drummer, formerly of The Offspring, has taken an apolotical approach to many social issues, though vocally opposed vaccine mandates imposed by the Biden administration during the Covid-19 pandemic. His stance against the vaccine, citing a diagnosis of Guillan Barre syndrome, ultimately led to his ousting from The Offspring in 2021.

"I have no doubt that mandates perpetuated and celebrated by the Biden Administration were a huge factor in the music industry feeling pressured to coercively inject and mask," Parada wrote in an X post upon Trump's inauguration yesterday. "Yes these artists who caved were absolute cowards - but none of that nonsense would have happened without the President of The United States pushing for medical segregation."

"Thank God we’ve put an end to cheering for authoritarianism under the banner of The Greater Good," Parada continued. "May we move forward with great enthusiasm, hope and a promise to hold President Trump accountable to his calling and his word."

Although Parada has remained relatively apolitical, he was an outspokedn supporter of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s bid for the White House, citing his cautionary stance against vaccines and public health largely.

We all can take a page out of Parada's book and pray for Trump's, and the country's, success over the next four years. It's a new day in America.
