Back in October, The Offspring was asked the meaning of "punk" during an appearance on comedian Bert Kreischer's podcast.
"It's raw, and it's aggressive, and it's rebellious," said frontman Dexter Holland.
"When somebody tells you, 'you must do this.' Well, why do I have to do it?” added guitarist Noodles.
Parada responded in an X post at the time saying he was speechless.
"I literally had that exact conversation with this person. I was told I would be on my own if I defied the order to comply," Parada wrote. "I was called a great many things, but never punk."
During a Monday appearance on the Try That In a Small Town podcast, Parada expanded on Holland and Noodles' comments.
"My jaws on the floor ... I'm like, are you f***ing kidding me?!" Parada said.
"I guess if you're in the driver's seat, and you're in the position of power, you're not gonna have self-reflection," Parada said of his former bandmates. "You're gonna find a way to justify why what you did was right at the time, and you don't have to feel bad about it."
"Unless it's just a complete break from reality and he's rewritten history in his own mind," Parada added.
