President Donald Trump gave a full-throated endorsement to Kid Rock’s new MAGA-themed restaurant, The Detroit Cowboy, on its grand opening day, June 3rd—calling it a “very friendly MAGA establishment” and celebrating his longtime friendship with the unapologetic rocker.
“Congratulations to my friend, Kid Rock (I call him Bob!), on the grand opening of his new Nashville restaurant, The Detroit Cowboy,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “I hear it is a very friendly MAGA establishment, and look forward to going there sometime soon!”
While the restaurant quietly opened its doors last month, today marks its official red carpet debut—complete with Kid Rock's signature outlaw energy and a menu that blends old-school Detroit grit with the bold charm of Nashville.

Billed as a “collision of Detroit toughness and Nashville soul,” the restaurant fuses upscale steakhouse vibes with a blue-collar backbone. Kid Rock says the goal is to “take the foo-foo out of fine dining,” adding that while the Vicari team brings the culinary chops, he’s in charge of the “vibe, the attitude, and the middle fingers for the haters.”
Kid Rock has long been a vocal Trump supporter—and the feeling is mutual. The two have appeared together at rallies, events, and even at the signing of an executive order aimed at cracking down on ticket scalping in the entertainment industry.
Following the recent assassination attempt on Trump, Rock didn’t hesitate—topping the list of donors supporting victims of the attack and doubling down on his support for the MAGA movement.
Now, with The Detroit Cowboy, Kid Rock is giving Trump supporters a new place to gather, eat well, and fly their patriotic colors without apology.
