Country Superstar Riley Green Refuses to Sing "Bud Light" Lyrics, Changes Them to "Coors Light"

Country sensation Riley Green just made a bold move that had his Nashville audience going wild! During his Friday night performance at Nissan Stadium, the 34-year-old singer decided to drop Bud Light from the lyrics of his hit song "I Wish Grandpas Never Died," and replaced it with Coors Light. The man knows his audience.

The controversial decision came after Anheuser-Busch's sponsorship deal with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney sparked outrage amongst consumers of the beverage. In response, Green decided to give a shout-out to Coors and their loyal fans, who have been celebrating the company's recent stock surge of nearly 9%.

Fans and followers of the "There Was This Girl" singer were quick to show their support on social media.

Meanwhile, Anheuser-Busch CEO Brendan Whitworth issued a somewhat apologetic statement in response to the backlash. He said that the company never intended to divide people and that they were in the business of bringing people together over a beer. The company even tried to make a patriotic ad to counter the backlash, although it seems to be to little too late.

As for Riley Green, who knows what he'll do next, but we can be sure that his fans will be cheering him on every step of the way. Who do you think will be the next artist to speak out against the Bud Light controversy?
