Kacey Musgraves Roasted Online for Comparing ICE Agents to Masked Rioters During LA Chaos

Country-pop singer Kacey Musgraves is facing intense backlash after weighing in on the spiraling violence in Los Angeles — and let’s just say, her attempt at being “woke” didn’t exactly hit the right note.

As anti-ICE demonstrations descended into riots over the weekend — with mobs torching cars, looting stores, and hurling fireworks at law enforcement — Musgraves decided it was the perfect time to virtue signal on social media.

Her big idea? If rioters aren’t “allowed” to wear masks, then federal immigration officers shouldn’t be able to either.

Yes, really.

“If protesters can’t wear masks, then ICE agents shouldn’t be allowed to either,” she posted.

The tone-deaf remark came as video footage circulated showing coordinated groups of agitators distributing gas masks, lighting up neighborhoods, and ransacking businesses — including an Apple Store and a local sushi bar. Amid the chaos, President Trump ordered in the National Guard, with Marines reportedly on standby.

But instead of condemning the destruction, Musgraves decided to lecture law enforcement.

Critics were quick to point out the absurdity of her stance — especially considering that ICE agents often wear masks to protect their identities from doxxing campaigns. In recent days, several officers have had their personal information posted online alongside threats to their families.

Acting ICE Chief Todd Lyons addressed the danger:

“We’ve had agents targeted, their families threatened. Masking is about protecting them — not hiding anything sinister.”

That didn’t stop Musgraves from pushing the same logic parroted by far-left activists who claim that wearing a badge somehow forfeits your right to basic safety.

Online responses poured in:

“So now the people enforcing the law are the problem, not the ones torching buildings?”

“If protesters are peaceful, why do they need gas masks and fireworks?”

“This is what happens when privileged celebrities try to play revolutionary from their mansions.”

“You want ICE agents doxxed so rioters can harass their wives and kids too? Disgusting.”

“Not all masks are created equal. One group is hiding from accountability. The other is hiding from Molotov cocktails.”

Musgraves may think she's scoring points with her activist fanbase, but for everyday Americans watching their cities go up in flames, the message is clear: This isn’t protest. It’s lawlessness. And celebrities cheering it on aren’t brave — they’re part of the problem.

As the situation in LA continues to unravel, one thing is becoming increasingly obvious: the people throwing rocks at ICE agents and the people trying to protect the country are not morally equivalent.

Maybe someone should tell Kacey that before she tweets again.
