With a remarkable 28 Grammy awards, Jones’ achievements are staggering. In 1985, he united 46 of the top American artists—including Bob Dylan, Tina Turner, and Cyndi Lauper—for the iconic We Are the World. Co-written to raise funds for famine relief in Ethiopia, the song became an anthem of compassion and unity, topping charts globally and setting a new standard for music’s role in social impact.
